Not only are these SKB Cases waterproof and dust-proof they are also resistant to UV, solvents, corrosion, fungus, and impact damage.
These special trigger latches create a special compression between the lid and the bottom of the case which seals out any moisture or dust.
SKB uses a special IP67 rated valve on all of its cases. This valve means the case can be dropped into a body of water and while still allowing the free passage of gases and vapors, equalizing the pressure differential between the enclosure and ambient before it builds to the point that a seal is compromised. This means the sensitive contents and electron equipment inside the case will remain protected.
